West Chester’s Community Warehouse Project Committed to Helping People in Need Furnish Their Living Spaces

The Community Warehouse Project collects and redistributes furniture to families in need in the area.

in is dedicated to collecting and distributing furniture to those who need it most, writes Nick Iadonisi for 6ABC.

The Community Warehouse Project saves thousands of pounds of perfectly usable from rotting in landfills. Every year, tons of furniture is wasted where it could receive a second life by in the home’s of families who can’t afford to furnish their homes.

The nonprofit takes in everything from couches and tables to silverware and lamps. Anything that can be redistributed to the community in will find its way to a deserving home.

“Most of the time they’ve been homeless prior to getting this new housing, and they don’t have anything… Last year was 486 households that we served. It’s just an absolute pleasure to be a part of that,” said , CEO and Executive Director.

The nonprofit helps an average of 10 families per week. It creates an impact by providing essential furniture that will, in turn, create a comfortable and stable environment that feels like a home.
