Butter Yellow and the Foodification of Color

If you’re still concerned, like me, that butter yellow is just another trend, rest assured that it is in the eye of the beholder. Here’s what , founder of , has to say about the lifecycle of this color: “I believe, as with any trend, it comes down to the execution of it in terms of whether it will have staying power or it will seem dated with time. If you’re naturally drawn to butter yellow, then you should incorporate it in the spaces and places where it organically makes sense. But if you’re only identifying with it because it’s on-trend and then [you’re] overdoing it in your home, it’s guaranteed to become obsolete once the next trend cycle emerges.”

In regards to my kitchen cabinets, I’ve decided to just take the plunge, opting for a paler shade of butter yellow. Call it an unoriginal idea if you must, but butter yellow cabinets feel true to my personal style and are the perfect touch of and midcentury.
