Interior design studio Necchi Architecture blends various retro elements to create an ‘uninhibited atmosphere’ at the Hôtel Château d’Eau in Paris. The design nods to the disco era and this is done by various components such as blended lacquer, chrome, and other accents.

The hotel has 36 rooms and it is in an area that was once the hub for nightlife in the 70s, which served as the main design influence. Lamenta explains, “We imagined a scenario for the bedrooms where all needs are focused around the bed. The mini bar is integrated into the bedside tables, the wardrobes are exposed, and the desk is a mobile tray to place on the bed. This is a bit of a break from classic hotel traditions but we wanted the space to feel tailored to our daily actions.”
